What Is Nessum AIR?

Enhance the communication speed while maintaining precise control of the communication range

Nessum AIR is a short-range wireless communication technology that connects the edges of your network and bridges the IoT communication gap.
In the case of e-mobility battery management systems, multiple vehicles are placed nearby, which can lead to false vehicle detection and security issues due to radio wave interference. Nessum AIR enables high-speed communication while accurately limiting the communication range by adjusting the transmission power and antenna size and shape. It also reduces radio wave interference with neighboring devices and achieves high security.

Positioning of Nessum AIR in wireless technology

Compared to existing wireless technologies, Nessum AIR is characterized by its ability to provide high-speed communication while limiting distance. Robust communication with an effective speed of hundreds of Mbps (Max.) is possible.

Technical Features Of Nessum AIR

high security

The communication distance can be controlled between a few and 100cm

By controlling the transmission distance based on the transmission power and the antenna size/shape, the communication range can be controlled at an interval of a few to 100cm, creating a communication environment free from interference for a variety of settings.

reduction of lines

Data communication at speeds
of up to 1 Gbps is possible

The high-frequency efficiency Wavelet-OFDM improves the communication speed. The maximum speed is 1 Gbps*.

* This is the standard's theoretical value. The supported maximum speed varies depending on the product.

Use Case And Application

Nessum AIR can contribute to your business in the following use cases.

[Smart Industry]

  • By connecting the transfer robots (AGV) moving within the factory and the charging dock with Nessum AIR, and connecting the charging dockside to the core network via Nessum WIRE, charging control and positioning detection of a large number of transfer robots are possible.

  • Making the internal wiring of industrial cameras and robots wireless (replacing slip rings) using Nessum AIR can contribute to decreasing the failure rate, reducing weight, enhancing maintainability, etc.

[Charging Control for e-Mobility]

  • In the case that multiple vehicles are placed nearby, Nessum AIR reduces radio wave interference with neighboring devices and achieves high security.

[Underwater IoT]

  • To explore underwater efficiently, a local area network can be constructed via radio waves. The network is composed of drones, cameras, sensors, etc. and they are connected by Nessum AIR.
